COVID-19 LOCKDOWN: 15 Transporters arrested in Kwara State

15 Transporters were arrested in the early hours of Monday. They were arrested as a result of violating the directive given by the state government on the restriction of movement.


Mr Kayode Alabi who is the deputy governor of the state and also the chairman of the COVID-19 committee made known that 80 motorcycles were seized from owners who violated the given directive.

He also explained that no one should be released until he gives a command concerning that.

Mr Kayode Alabi also disclosed that the committee is considering a total shutdown of market but promises that food items will be evenly distributed to help those the shutdown might affect.
